West End Festival - Exhibition of Textile Art

An exhibition of textile art by Threadlines, a group of 5 artists based in central Scotland. 
Following the success of their previous two exhibitions (INDIGO and MARKS & STITCHES) at the West End Festival, they are now presenting a new colourful collection of contemporary and traditional pieces exploring modern techniques of dyeing, printing, painting, discharging and embellishing.

Wed 14th June - Sat 17th June 
Open daily 11 am–5 pm. Admission £3. 
There will be a sales table with items for sale and a tea-room.
This exhibition will be part of Glasgow's annual West End Festival.

Many thanks to Mr Derek Robertson who came along last week to tell us about Abercorn School and their project to send pupils and ex-pupils to the Special Olympics. It sounds exciting and valuable for all concerned. Thanks too to the congregation who contributed to fundraising for this initiative, with a retiring offering of over £200.

This Sunday

On the fifth Sunday of the month - something a wee bit different.
All-age worship Sunday 30th April 11 a.m.

We are joined by Mr Derek Robertson, Deputy Head Teacher of Abercorn School, Garscube Rd., a Secondary School for children with special educational needs where Gordon and Cathie are chaplains. He will tell us more of their plan to take 20 pupils and 27 former pupils to the Special Olympics this August. They are trying to raise £10,000 to fund this venture and we will have the opportunity to support them in a retiral offering.
