The Events Committee are holding a BRUNCH 
in aid of Church funds from 11am to 2pm

Tickets £4 will include a cup of tea or coffee and a pancake, a filled roll (hot or cold) or a Toastie.
There will be a Home Baking Stall, a Book Stall, a Gift Stall and a Raffle. 

This Sunday, 9th November, 

Remembrance Sunday Service

Please note this will begin at 10:50 am.

There will be a Retiring Offering for Poppyscotland at the end of the service.

After the service the children from the Sunday Club will be selling hand made Christmas cards in aid of Street Pastors.
(65p each or 2 for £1 )
Street Pastors are a Christian charity who go into the city centre at weekends late at night to help keep the streets safe. The local churches, including Kelvinbridge, are involved in a project to bring Street Pastors to Byres Rd in the near future.

Sunday morning worship and Sunday Club
Sundays at 11am 

First Sunday of the month (7th Sept.) - Soup and Pudding Lunch following the Morning Service.

Second Sunday of the month (14th September) Celebration of Holy Communion as part of Morning Worship

The first meeting of the Belmont Minstrels will take place in the Church Hall on Sunday 14th September at 2 pm. This is not a choir, but just a group of people who enjoy singing together, who would welcome new members.

The Voyagers Club meets again on 18th September 7:30 pm in the Church Hall.The Club meets monthly with interesting speakers, tea and goodies.

The Church of Scotland Guild will begin the new session of fortnightly meetings on 14th October, meeting at 2pm in the Session House.

The Voyagers at Kelvinbridge Church will be hosting a Coffee Morning this Saturday 31st May 10 am-12 noon.

Come in from the cold! All welcome.

followed by...

A Barbecue at 4 pm to mark the formalisation of the West End Parish Grouping of Churches. (Kelvinbridge Parish Church, Kelvinside Hillhead Parish Church, Partick Trinity Church, St John's-Renfield Church, Wellington Church, with Hillhead Baptist Church.) All welcome at the back of Kelvinbridge Church, Garriochmill Rd, on the path leading to the Kelvin Walkway and the flint mills. Burgers and sausages (vegetarian options available) salads and fruit...and baking.

A joint evening service including the celebration of communion, in Kelvinbridge Parish Church, Belmont St at 6 pm.

This weekend ....

On Saturday...

The Belmont Minstrels will mark the end of their session with a concert on Saturday 17th May at 7:30 pm in the church hall.
Tickets £2 on the door.

On Sunday...

The 'Stedfast Association' - a countrywide group for former members of the Boys' Brigade - is marking the centenary of the death of Sir William Smith, the Founder of the movement. Special events will be held in Glasgow - and visitors from far and wide will be attending a special morning service in Kelvinbridge Parish Church this Sunday 18th May at 11am. All welcome to this memorable act of worship.

We meet at Wellington Church, Southpark St. at 7pm. and make our way on foot to Kelvinbridge Parish Church pausing for reflection on the way.

Jesus said to him " Be quick about what you are doing!"
None of the others at the table understood why Jesus said this to him...

Judas accepted the bread and went out at once. It was night.

Lansdowne Parish Church united with Kelvin Stevenson Memorial Church in Belmont St to form a new church, Kelvinbridge on 5th Dec 2013.

This blog will soon change to reflect this new situation and carry details and news of Kelvinbridge Church.

The former Lansdowne Church building is being adapted to theatre and restaurant use (although the ultimate plan is for restoration). It will be available for new lets from April 2014.
