Carols for Peace 2011

Carols for Peace - 18th December at 3.00 Glasgow City Chambers

This year’s Carols for Peace takes place in Glasgow City Chambers at 3.00 on Sunday 18th December. The Lord Provost and the Churches will be represented, and the music will be led by the St Mungo Singers, the Rutherglen Salvation Army Band, a Piper, Harpist and small ensemble.

Refreshments afterwards and all are welcome.

Yuletide, Christmas and Carol Singing ...

The team across at the Woodlands Community Garden are hosting a fun sounding shindig next Wednesday.... lots of festive fun and games will be had on the evening of the 14th!

... friends from Wellington and Lansdowne churches will be out and about carol singing on the 15th..... "Anyone who would like to join the group of carol singers going round the parishes of Wellington and Lansdowne, should meet at Wellington at 7pm on Thursday 15th December.  We aim to finish with coffee in Beanscene, Woodlands Road by 9pm."

Bookending these there will be a rehearsal for the Lessons and Carols service in Wellington Church on Sunday 18th December:

Tuesday 13th December 7.30pm rehearsal Hillhead Baptist Church

Sunday 18th December 4.30pm Rehearsal in Wellington Church - Service at 7pm
The provisional music list includes A Christmas Fanfare - Shaw, Come and Thank Him - Bach, O Holy Night, Ave Maris Stella - Lloyd, Bethlehem Down - Warlock, Jesus Child - Rutter, Do you see what I see?
